| Job Description: | We are seeking an experienced Information Assurance (IA) Engineer to provide IA design, architecture, development, testing and integration oversight and technical support for programs requiring COMSEC/TRANSEC and NSA certification. The candidate will be experienced in implementing IA in accordance NSA Universal INFOSEC Criteria (UIC) or the System Security Requirements (SSR). The successful candidate will demonstrate qualifications as a systems engineer and understand systems engineering processes, waveform protections and NSA certification. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in developing solutions to complex IA issues, such as solutions for IP packets translated to RF signal frames. The candidate will provide support for the testing, integration, analysis, and review of system components in a COMSEC/TRANSEC based system, potentially within a ground and satellite based networked environment. The candidate must be able to establish security policy, and translate security policy and requirements into an IA architecture that considers the operational environment, mission criticality, and application requirements. The candidate must be familiar with the National and DoD standards guiding the development of IA policy, requirements, integration, engineering, and certification and accreditation. Perform security, analyses and risk/vulnerability assessments. Participate in security test and evaluations IAW NSA certification requirements. Coordinate certification and accreditation, activity for the project team. Evaluate information assurance technologies for application to the projects under the purview of the customer. Participate in planning and support security engineering for new projects. |
| Job Requirements: |
Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline is required. • COMSEC/TRANSEC experience, including solution architectures, NSA required documentation • The position requires strong leadership skills and experience. • Preferred candidates have five to ten years of experience evaluating and solving complex integration projects. Must have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and resolve complex issues with customers and NSA, experience in security engineering. Individual must have a firm understanding of IA policies, requirements, and security architectures • The nature of this position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation. • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Additional qualifications: • CISSP, CNSSI 4012, NSTISSI 4015 preferred • Expert use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Visio. |
