TITLE: Incident Response Detection Operations Leader Provide operational leadership for the technical incident responders within the Global Information Security team, which provides security operations and computer incident response support for all GE businesses. This position reports to the GE Director of Incident Response Responsibilities include: * Serves as the owner of operations excellence for daily support activities reporting to the GE Director of Incident Response. * Ensures that all necessary services are available and that workloads are run inline with required service levels, delegating to members of the team and ensuring effective handover between shifts. * Drives solution identification, feasibility analysis, and implementation recommendations for operational service level improvements and assists with prioritization of resulting projects * Responsible for people management activities including performance management, salary planning and distribution of work assignments * Act as the intermediate escalation point for incidents involving GE computing resources. * Provide technical IR support for litigation and internal investigations * Perform advanced security information and event monitoring * Manage and customize SIEM and Log management infrastructures to accommodate custom use cases for GE businesses * Perform reverse engineering and malware/tool analysis * Conduct emerging Information Security threat research * Manage Information Security lab operations * Develop computer incident response processes and tools * Design and build custom network sensors for traffic analysis * Prepare detailed incident and root cause analysis reports for management * Coordinate response activities for business information security teams |

Position Requirements: * "YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT." * BS/BA in Computer Science, Business, and Management or equivalent work experience * Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels. * Strong cross-functional team player working with Application Owners, company wide business Leaders, and Support Teams. * Strong technical background and prior experience with security systems management. * Strategic perspective with demonstrated accountability & execution fulfillment. * Change Agent with ability to drive compliance, protocols, & standardization * Solid understanding of IT organizations and deliverables - Balance cost with future investment. * Desire to work in a dynamic, visible, and fast paced environment - High Energy * Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to triage issues * Experience managing On Call Team for issue triage and escalation management * Experience conducting computer forensic investigations * Understanding of regulatory requirements related to information security, data protection, and privacy across the globe. * Experience leading matrix teams across business, geographical, and time zone boundaries * Must be 18 years of age or older. * You must be willing to take a drug test * You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background * To the extent you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned/leased, privately owned/leased or rental vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record. * You must be legally authorized to work in the United States DESIRED: * CISSP, CISM or GIAC Certification * Six Sigma Certification * Graduate of GE's IMLP and/or EIMP programs * Previous law enforcement or military intelligence experience. |
